Pydev Extensions is a plug-in that works with PyDev to deliver an enhanced development environment, providing (among other features) code-analysis, code completion with auto-import, an excellent implementation of 'go to definition', remote debugging, 'quick-fixes', etc.

This video passes through some of the 'power-features': its many code-completion flavours, helpers to navigate through source code, code analysis and quick-fixes. More information can be found in the manual.

Thanks. I am looking for an overview on how to develop a professional application. Mainly looking for tools, standards and approach to release a product.

Excellent!!

Again, very interesting. I'm piqued, but it still seems to assume a high degree of prior python knowledge- is there a more comprehensive introduction if even as text?

Thank you, very helpful

Nice short and to the point videos!

Great video on a great tool!

I've been using PyDev for a while, but this video helped me to remember a few useful features that I had forgotten.

Nice video... very interesting.. especially the way you ask for feedback!!!

Thank you fabio for sharing your knowledge with us. I find your video clips very informative and right to the point.

Very handy. One improvement would be to have a functionality descrioption displayed next to the keystroke text that performs it. Would make it clear what you pres to do what.

Thanks for a good introduction to some editor features.

Educating the Open-source Community With Showmedo

Although as important as the software it supports, education and documentation are relatively neglected in the Open-source world. Coders love to code, and explaining how best to use or improve the software tends to be deferred or even sidelined.

At Showmedo we believe the community can play a vital role here and also say thanks for the tools and software that make our lives easier. If you have a piece of software you love or a programming langugage you are enthusiastic about, why not make a screencast showing others how to use it? All the stuff you wish you'd been told, the tips, tricks, insights that would have saved you time and frustration.

Screencasting is easier than you think, and we're happy to help you. You can emailus for advice or just use some of the how-to screencasts on the site. This screencasting learning-pathis a good place to start.

Kudos and Thanks for fabiofz
