Hey thanks! I have worked on Java before ( using javac and java commands in the terminal) but had never used Eclipse IDE before. Too many options sometimes scare you. :( Feel a lot more comfortable now. :)

Wish I used this IDE before. :(

Thanks,

Very nicely done; could use a little more detail on the keyboard methods while typing code. I noticed your cursor jump to the semi-colon right after hitting the " in "Hello World").

Thank you much; I'm brushing up for my Java Programming II class and searching like mad to find good video tutorials.

Great demo! - I'm new to Java and Eclipse and need to be pushed into the mechanics of connecting the dots for the first few steps.

Next I'll be looking to handle imports and the SWT...

Perfect!

Thanks John.

I've actually used Eclipse once before for Android development using the Google Plug-In but not for plain Java development from scratch.

Your demo just hit the spot for me.

Very good for Java beginners with Eclipse. Many authors indicate JCreator for beginning Java, but I think it's better to start with Eclipse.

Thank you.

Very simple and clear.

Good clear voice. Easy to understand.

Educating the Open-source Community With Showmedo

Although as important as the software it supports, education and documentation are relatively neglected in the Open-source world. Coders love to code, and explaining how best to use or improve the software tends to be deferred or even sidelined.

At Showmedo we believe the community can play a vital role here and also say thanks for the tools and software that make our lives easier. If you have a piece of software you love or a programming langugage you are enthusiastic about, why not make a screencast showing others how to use it? All the stuff you wish you'd been told, the tips, tricks, insights that would have saved you time and frustration.

Screencasting is easier than you think, and we're happy to help you. You can emailus for advice or just use some of the how-to screencasts on the site. This screencasting learning-pathis a good place to start.

Kudos and Thanks for John
