Please make more similar to this. A complete real example. I find the usual hello world type examples useless and usually leaves people having no clue how to do anything but write hello world programs!

your the best!

This video is cut off before the end...

47. Dave Everitt Tue, 16 Mar 2010 08:56

like the little script for adding a directory to the Python path, but it would be good to explain whether or not this is appended to your .bash_profile (or equivalent) file.

Nice videos. There are a good help for a starter like me :)

looks good so far. thanks much for putting this out. the presentation is very valuable to my team.

Senk's, you

Thanks for the video. My only comment so far is that I wonder how timely this is. Have things changed much with django 1.1, and how is this different while setting up pinax?

34. anonymous Fri, 28 Aug 2009 06:00

Still brilliant!

Great video ... For everyone else, I watched the rest of it here: http://www.eflorenzano.com/blog/post/first-two-django-screencasts/

It was great until it abruptly terminated at 4mins 41 secs.

?????

18. anonymous Wed, 15 Apr 2009 04:19

A nice easy start for a beginner, thankyou.

17. anonymous Tue, 07 Apr 2009 07:31

I'm just getting started so I was looking for some good django primers. Thanks.

Nice vid , but still broken at the end

I'm novice and this is my first video about Django. Simple and useful. Thanks!

really nice, but the first video is broken

please make more on this topic

It is very good and would appreciate more of this.

Video 1 ends, abruptly and would request that to be fixed.

Really useful script. Thanks very much :)

8. anonymous Sun, 09 Nov 2008 21:59

tutorial seems to end very abruptly right in the middle of things after retrieving the pagination library.

hey what about that script referenced in this screencast. i can't find any link here? or maybe i'll just pause the vid and type it out :-) Thanks anyway.

It's still broken. It ends really early. I tried viewing it both in a browser, and downloading the flv. Both end just after downloading django-pagination. Please fix!

Hi Ericflo, I've just blogged about your series:

http://blog.showmedo.com/2008/08/03/setting-up-a-django-development-environment/

to get you some more publicity. This post will go out to the two Planet Pythons and will expose your videos to a whole heap o'people.

Cheers,

Ian.

Nice video, but as the anonymous user above pointed out it appears to finish a little early - right after checking out django-pagination, but before sym-linking it...

3. anonymous Thu, 17 Jul 2008 12:13

hmm interesting but what happens with the end?

it looks broken.

Educating the Open-source Community With Showmedo

Although as important as the software it supports, education and documentation are relatively neglected in the Open-source world. Coders love to code, and explaining how best to use or improve the software tends to be deferred or even sidelined.

At Showmedo we believe the community can play a vital role here and also say thanks for the tools and software that make our lives easier. If you have a piece of software you love or a programming langugage you are enthusiastic about, why not make a screencast showing others how to use it? All the stuff you wish you'd been told, the tips, tricks, insights that would have saved you time and frustration.

Screencasting is easier than you think, and we're happy to help you. You can emailus for advice or just use some of the how-to screencasts on the site. This screencasting learning-pathis a good place to start.

Kudos and Thanks for ericflo
