The days of silent screencasts are near an end, there is much software out there to facilitate sound. IN addition, more care should go in to tutorials, otherwise why do them, apart from perhaps some degree of self gratification. This tutorial was poor, uninformative and not useful. Slow down, take your time and think about why people watch these screencasts. If you have a real issue with providing an oral commentary, then you need to smarten up your presentation

Thanks for the video, but I couldn't hear any sound. It would have been nice to have you talk through what you were doing. If you did put sound and I just couldn't hear it, then no problem. Overall good!

That was quick and amazing.

I was looking for head start with GWT. I have started devleoping Portal apps, after doing many framework apps.

I wanted to know how servlet works with GWT. or how i should use GWT while writing a web based app. A sample applicaiton will help me a lot. I can then extend that to a jsr168/286.

i basically want to know how a GWT based java class talks with a servlet and how should i manage the javascript and css, html files. i do not see that example anywhere.

If possible please guide me in a sample GWT+ servlet+ DB applicaiton. And how i can use spring as middleware for that.

I can be of great help if you need any info to be posted on your blog. regarding latest techcnologies.

Thank you,

Could you make your site available again? Maybe? What's the matter? I would love to use this product, but it seems to be un-installable... (Using Eclipse IDE for Java EE Developers)

Do you think you could do it again, but a little faster? And with fewer hints as to what it is you're about to do?

8. anonymous Tue, 19 Aug 2008 18:20

Audio is needed too.

However really useful video,

Educating the Open-source Community With Showmedo

Although as important as the software it supports, education and documentation are relatively neglected in the Open-source world. Coders love to code, and explaining how best to use or improve the software tends to be deferred or even sidelined.

At Showmedo we believe the community can play a vital role here and also say thanks for the tools and software that make our lives easier. If you have a piece of software you love or a programming langugage you are enthusiastic about, why not make a screencast showing others how to use it? All the stuff you wish you'd been told, the tips, tricks, insights that would have saved you time and frustration.

Screencasting is easier than you think, and we're happy to help you. You can emailus for advice or just use some of the how-to screencasts on the site. This screencasting learning-pathis a good place to start.

Kudos and Thanks for Sanjiv
