This was perfect, I couldn't figure out how to sfind the mp3 output. After searching and reading other threads for hours, this video is what got to exactly what I needed.
THHANKS.
Thanks! I used to have the option to export mp3 and then all of a sudden it was gone in ubuntu gutsy gibbon. Why this is so hidden I have no idea, but thanks for saving me a lot of time! :)
Brilliant, thanks! No other documentation mentioned clicking on the 'browse for other folders' and selecting MP3 Files. Tremendously helpful!
Saved me hours! Thanks very much from USA
Thanks! Helped tremendously
Just wanted to say that this was a big help to me. Thanks.
GSpy : Thank you so much, this helped me a lot
Many thanks for a precisely targeted tutorial. In my attempts to export an Audacity project to MP3 under Ubuntu 7.10, I wasted an hour in various permutations of mistakes. Two minutes with your video, and now I'm fine. You're a great public service.
I've never done that in ubuntu so it will take me some time to figure it out.I thing avidemux can do this also cinelerra might be able to as well. I will need a small avi to play though.
Great video, please keep up the good work !
It's nice that you use Ubuntu, that's exactly what i need :-)
Can you please do a video about: "How to export the audio of an .avi video into .mp3 , using Ubuntu" ?
I did not found out how to do it so far but could make good use of that wisdom.
It really shouldn't be so tricky to export an MP3 using Audacity on Ubuntu Gutsy Gibbon!
Wow - having to use 'Browse for other folders' after 'Export' and the having to select 'MP3' from 'Wav, AIFF, and other uncompressed types' is not obvious at all! Only after that does it show MP3 in Options - crikey, that's not intuitive at all.
Good find!
I know we spoke about it in email - it is really simple on the Windows build of Audacity.
Ian.
