Well done I found it very informative and helpful. How can I transfer waypoints back to my Garmin GPS. Regards Graham
I only recently learned of OSM and think it is fantastic. Your videos are extremely helpful. Thanks!
Like the videos! Keep it up. Maybe redo a few of them again since the websites have changed quite a bit.
I don't get any sound?
pics look good though
Like the intro movies very much. :-)
Excellent!
This was incisively helpful. Much better than peering over a large document. Thanks for your effort.
Hi,
thnaks for the tutorials.
As soon as I choose which GPS to buy, I'll do some work
Cheers
Manu
I like your tutorials especially since I have MAC I can easily follow what you are doing.
Thank you very much for these tutorials. I am a complete noob so these are very handy.
Again, thank you for taking the time to make these, it's very much appreciated.
excellent tutorials
Thanks, you saved me some time!
Video 3 may have been intended for newbies (which I am) but I was lost through most of this video. It assumes that I know more terminology that I do.
I own a Garmin GPS but what ever video 3 is talking about is a ways off from my understanding.
I thought this was about mapping, not GPS units! Patience - I will learn - just not as fast as I used to. I'm 67 years old.
Yes, I know it is not correct to end a sentence with a preposition, but it's the way we talk where I'm from even if we know better.
Very interesting thanks for taking the time for this site.
Good presentation.
I've watched three of these so far. They could be improved by use of a good USB microphone, and speaking a little less rapidly.
For God's sake, don't edit out the screwups! They make these tutorials real, and show new users what they can expect and what to do about a situation.
Thanks. I have some noobs who will be very grateful to have your video to see how easy it is to use GPSBabel on the Mac. Thank you for the video
good
Good video.
thanks for video re: use of GPSBabel
It's a pity this is spoilt by the nerd's typical inattention to the needs of the beginner.... which is whom this is aimed at after all. The unzipping of Babel caused me nightmares and I cannot open it to look like the screen displayed in the video. Yet this part is entirely skipped over in the video. And, yes, I have unzipped files before... but this one remains a mystery. So basically I can't use it. Which is a shame because the rest of the video is interesting.
The trouble probably stems from the fact that the expert finds the content so simple he's embarrassed to linger over details. But the principle of teaching is: say what you're going to say,say it then say what you've just said.... I know it's tough but the learners would be the teachers if they could go as fast...
I'm a Windows GIS user. I don't know what a GPX file is. If you had started out by explaining that detail I would appreciate your efforts more. Otherwise, not bad.
Video published, thanks for contributing to ShowMeDo
