CamStudio 2.0 is a free utility that lets you make ShowMeDos. This ShowMeDo demonstrates the basic elements - starting the recording, navigating Windows whilst recording, ending the recording. After this you'll be ready to make your first ShowMeDo on Windows XP.
There are further notes in first CamStudio video for recording your own ShowMeDos.

hi thanks for your showmwdo vids , is there a chance you can update these camstudio vids for Win 7 ? as some of the instuctions in these vids do npot work, eg the default hotkeys are all set to none and if I try to change to the xp default F9 f10 etc etc i get an error mesage, there are a few aothers but it would be quicker for you to take a look , I am useinf 2.0 btw , regards Paul
It would have been more helpfull to show how to start CamStudio and which of the programs that comes with it are used to make the ShowMeDo's, as well as how to configure it. This SowMeDo only shows the result of a ShowMeDo, not the program creating it, which should have been the whole point. There are plenty of existing ShowMeDos on theis website already.
