Showmedo is a peer-produced video-tutorials and screencasts site for free and open-source software (FOSS)- with the exception of some club videos, the large majority are free to watch and download.
That's very useful. It's hard to tell when you're starting whether you're doing things right or whether the server is slow etc etc. Good to see how it's supposed to work - ish!
Thanks for your quick and deep enough introduction!
Thanks for the effort that you put in. With my brain damage it is so much easier to learn from a video, than trying to read.
Nice intro. I like the project and am impressed with how much mapping is already done!
steve,
Thanks for the video, new user from SE PA, USA. I own several GPS units and run roads and trails in this area which I hope to upload as soon as I figure everything out.
Best Regards,
Jim
Very usefull. Thanks
Good introduction. Can't wait to buy a GPS device! (I don't even have a smart phone).

Very useful
Very nice overview - I truly hope we will be able to get involved in OSM in a big way in the future, especially with our mobility modelling research.
This is a great intro to OpenStreetMaps. I hope to be able to create map tiles of of cities to use in an application and look forward to learning as much as I can about OSM. Thanks for all the great work you and all the volunteers have contributed!
Useful introduction, but could you do a video where the picture isn't jumping about all over the place? It's very distracting.
Thanks Steve, this is a good intro for a Potlatch editor, like myself, that wants to learn a more powerful tool
Great! just what I was looking for. Thank you!
Great project! Used OpenStreet maps for a recent grand motorcycle tour of Europe and western Asia. Just learning more about it now and will surely contribute. The videos are getting me oriented to how to proceed.
Thanks!
I found this video very useful. I have only just discovered Openstreetmap, and Opencyclemap. I am a retired IT professional, who likes to walk and geocache. I also spend a lot of time in Andalucia, where I have always had problems getting decent digital data for GPSs. So I'm seriously thinking of signing up!
Good video for beginners
