In Vista you can no longer move your quick launch toolbar to the side of the screen. For users who have been running XP for a long time, this can be quite painful.

great little hack!
Hi, nice trick! Any idea how to do that in windows 7 (after having re-enabled the quick launch bar of course)?
Thanks a lot
Excelent!
wicked :-)
Excellent - Thank you
Quick Launch is just a folder anyway: C:\Documents and Settings\(user)\Application Data\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch
so why not just find that folder and drag it to the edge of screen as you do with New Folder?
should save 3-4 steps in fact.
A life-saver - thanks. I can't believe they made it this difficult in Vista.
Thanks a lot!!! I've been trying to move the QuickLaunch Toolbar to the side of my screen for quite a long time before I finnaly found this guide. Funny, but Vista Help says that it is possible to move this toolbar to the side of the screen just like it was done in the good-old-XP... Well, you can always be sure not to trust M$...
Once again, thanks a lot!
Finally,..a solution!!!
I've been holding off downgrading my system to Vista
