Thanks Dai. This was a great video. Nice focus and pace. I had launched Keepass before I found this video, but was surprised it did not have a simple tutorial to get started.

Thank You very clear, you helped me with the URL which I was confussed
Great video.. very helpful. :)
Thanks very much.
yes the database stays encrypted but, if you want you canuse a programme called safehouse explorer for some extra security.
THANK YOU THANK YOU. I looked high and low, and not one video showed me how to properly submit the username and password. Thanks for this video.
One question, is the database file encrypted when not in use? Should I move the databse file into a truecrypt folder when I'm not using keepass to make certain no one can get to my passwords?
Sincerely,

Thanks so much Dai, youre a life saver!
I thought that the program would somehow make the imformation more secure. the name is deceptive
Got what I needed to know. Screen resolution was clear enough. Down to earth efficient learning. Thanks.
Thought the keepass was very good and helpful, I would like to know what others you do or is there a list or can I get intouch to ask.
Yours Len
I wonder why the tutorial only talked about saving to a pen drive and not to the hard drive. I understand that having a pendrive will allow you to move to other computers, but still..... it leaves me thinking that saving to a pendrive is the only option. Is it? Also, I wonder why there was no mentioning about other passwords then website passwords. A part from websites, I am also keen to manage usernames and PINs for bank accounts, the pc, phones etc. Is this not possible to handle in the same management tool? Is that why it wasn't mentioned.?
Thanks Dai - an excellent and straightforward presentation. Anything on the bolt ons would be useful as well particularily KeeForm.
It seems KeePass has to be opened each time I visit a website. If so, I think it uses up time and adds steps when logging on to forums, etc. Perhaps you might explain how it's used once it's set up. Maybe you did show us by logging on to Yahoo, but I understood this as maybe being part of the setup process. Perhaps a password manager isn't a time saver after all. I was hoping for a password recorder, but also hoped it would save me time in looking up my P/Ws by AUTOMATICALLY logging me in when I got to the website without having to open the program. I probably expected too much.
Hi! I would like to suggest you to let us choose how much time Keepass should stay idle to then lock AUTOMATICALLY. Now, there is a way to lock automatically but no matter if I am using the program or not. It will be locked. Using the idle time feature is better because it will be locked only after some idle time.
go to portableapps.com and get the portable version.
This will let you use keepass on public computers
I appreciate the time it took for you to organize this training session. I downloaded the software, but was unsure of what to do next - and I consider myself a little more than an "intermediate" user. Your tutorial helped me immensely! Thanks again!
Thanks for the great tutorial, Dai. So what do we do if we're using a public pc, don't have access to keepass and don't remember the different passwords we created for different sites login?
Can't wait for the answer! Thank you in advance!

Dai - you might want to Edit this video's description and add links to:

so others have the main download site and the wikipedia entry for background material.
Cheers,
Ian.
Very useful! It's been at the back of my mind to make the leap to such a system for a long time now. In 10mins you've saved me a few hours pfaffing about. Clear, comprehensive, unrushed. It's going on my pen-drive today. Ta very much!
I've only recently come across it my self. It's an ecxellent programme for using your usernames and passwords on the web.
Hi Dai, thanks for this series. I'd never even heard of Keepass before seeing these videos, certainly I didn't know it was Open Source!
I'll enjoy watching this series (3 published, the rest to come today).
Ian.
